Police Activity in Parking Lot

�� police issued a WarnMe alert on July 9 just before 7 p.m. after a vehicle pursuit by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office ended in parking lot 56A, near the Genome and Biomedical Sciences Facility building. A suspect was placed in custody and there was no threat to the campus.

Police activity concluded at 8:45 p.m.

Vegetation Fire at Interstate 80-Highway 113 Junction

A vegetation fire that broke out this afternoon (June 21) near the junction of Highway 113 and Interstate 80 led to traffic restrictions on freeways in the area.

The �� Fire Department responded just before 5 p.m. The fire burned about 15 acres, and its forward progress was stopped by about 6:30 p.m.

At the time of this writing, there do not appear to have been any impacts to people, animals or structures.

�� Fire, Police Respond to Apartment Fire in West Village

Update 11:25 p.m.: Fire and police activity in West Village has concluded.

10:40 p.m.: �� Fire Department and police responded to an apartment fire in the Rambles neighborhood of West Village Tuesday evening. There is currently a heavy presence of emergency vehicles in the area. No injuries have been reported.
